Rosende comes from a single slope of decomposed sandy granite the only zone in Ribeira Sacra with granite soils, while the rest of the lineup sits on slate. The vines are 28 60 years old, the blend is roughly 85% Menca with 15% old field blend varieties (Garnacha Tintorera, Brancellao, Merenzao, Grao Negro).
