Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with a U Boat set across the wreath on a hollow background, the reverse with a block hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 40. 30 mm (w) x 39. 18 mm (h), weighing 21. 9 grams, most of the gilt finish has been lost, in overall better than very fine
